Complete 78-card deck in full color comprises 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana.
This deck was published by Italcards, Bologna in 1988.
The cards are designed by Americo Folchi and show quite realistic images inspired by Greek mythological themes. Anyone who read the Iliad or who has any (basic) knowledge of Greek mythology will recognize the images offered as well as their importance for Human Kind.
The scenes depicted are still current today! Or in the words of Andrea Gamboni, (who also compiled the booklet that goes with the deck), ‘What deeper mystery could there be than the one of the human soul, of its millenary myths and its arcane enigmas’.
The text on the cards is in English and Italian. Also, the text of the accompanying booklet is in those two languages.
